Framed -- Silver Quilled Filigree "Yudhishtira" Walang Kulit Javanese Shadow Puppet

Description: Beautiful, shining, delicate silver tracery of the walang kulit character, Yudhishtira, also known as Dharmaputra, the eldest of the five Pandava brothers, who are the protagonists of the Mahabharata. He is a symbol of piety and wisdom. The piece is made of expertly molded strips of silver, with silver-thread embroidery for the smaller details. 

Condition: Pre-owned -- very good; there are a few chips in the paint of the frame, both the outer and inner borders; the figure itself is in very good condition, the only imperfection being the slight discoloration of the threads comprising Yudhishtira's hair.
